I fell in love with photographing landscapes around five years ago. The feeling of getting out there early in the morning to catch first light that mostly nobody else sees, well unless your a fellow photographer or lover of the outdoors and knows just how special those moments are. I started out photographing the western pennsylvania laurel highlands and now love travelling to wherever the road takes me to diversify my work load; seek new locations and keep the inspirations flowing.

I always try to encourage more people to go outside of suburbia, or the city and go look up into the night sky. I have never became so infatuated with a type of photography before in my life. I started to shoot astrophotography 4 years ago whenever i was getting more involved with landscapes. I gave it a few attempts and waited anxiously for milky way season to return the following year. Scouting light pollution maps, rise/set times of the milky way and planning around moon phases i began to study more than camera settings to get to those darker skies. The east coast is a bit rougher than out west as far as light pollution goes so whenever i travel i like to get into some late night to early morning conditions.

There is something so surreal about seeing mans greatest creations from a gorgeous viewpoint, weather its well known, or off the beaten path you have to search for. Im from Pittsburgh and will forever rank that skyline as one of my favorites. Being near such a gorgeous city like Pittsburgh gives me a constant motivation to seek new views of the skyline. I often try to break up a trip with a city i want to photograph somewhere in between road trips.

I stumbled upon a abandoned glass factory near my home town a couple of years ago. I was obsessed with the textures on the wall and the overgrowth of the interior, as well as the exterior. The feeling the environment gave off was unlike anything else. The history of the place was a big interest as well.
